Immunology with Lab
An examination of the specific defense system of
mammals. Topics include leukocyte characteristics
and their responses to antigen; antigen
characteristics; antibody structure, diversity,
function genetics, and synthesis; the major
histocompatibility complex; vaccines; and
disorders of the immune system. The laboratory
focuses on animal handling, antibody purification,
and detection of antigen-antibody interactions.
Prequisite: Biology 111-112 and one 200-level
biology course. Corequisite: Chemistry 112.
Must have taken/be taking BIO*111,112 and one 200 level
