Intro Comprtv Religion:Eastern

This course offers an introductory study of the central ideas in living Eastern religions. The course investigates Hinduism, Buddhism, Zen Buddhism, Confucianism, and Taoism. Our readings will be in primary classical and contemporary texts. This course introduces students to the spiritual perspectives of other cultures, and to the philosophical issues at play in them, with a view toward developing better intercultural understanding. No course prerequisites, but Honor status with GPA 3.4. Your current cumulative GPA must be 3.4 or higher or permission from instr.
