Ornithology with Lab
An in-depth study of birds with respect to their
evolutionary history, structural and
physiological adaptations, behavior, and ecology.
The laboratory component of this course will
focus on the identification of local species of
birds and reinforcement of lecture topics in the
field. The lab will also introduce students to
research techniques used to study birds in the
field and will include visits to the Chester
River Field Research Station and Chino Farms.
Three hours of lecture and three hours of lab
Prerequisite(s): BIO 111 and BIO 112
