SpTp: Immigrant Fiction in US

This course will explore a broad range of topics related to gang activity in the United States and abroad. This course is divided into two parts. The first part of the course focuses on the historical, theoretical and socioeconomic processes that lead to gang formation and membership as well as the organization and structure of gangs. The second part of the course analyzes gang activities and typologies, gender roles within gangs, how gangs affect our society, and solutions to the gang problem.
