CHE*301*10 Description

Analytical Chemistry with Lab

A detailed treatment of simple and complex chemical equilibria with particular emphasis on theoretical aspects of acid-base (aqueous and nonaqueous), oxidation-reduction, complexometric, and precititation equilibria. Applications of the techniques to inorganic, organic, biochemical, and environmental analysis are covered in the lecture and lab components of the course. Three hours of lecture and four hours of laboratory work each week. Prerequisite(s): CHE 112
