Energy and the Environment


An exploration of general topics of energy generation, distribution and use, as well as the many ways that the energy industry affects the environment. A seminar course focusing on reading, reflection, discussion, problem solving and writing. Specific topics include fossil fuel resources, heat engines, renewable energy sources, global effects of energy use, energy policy, nuclear energy and energy conservation. 4 credits. Prerequisite(s): ENV 101
