PHL 494-10 Seminar on the Meaning of Life
Mondays 2:30pm - 5:00pm
J. David Newell
The question of the meaning of life is perhaps the most significant philosophical question we face as humans. In this seminar we will explore this question from both the theistic and non-theistic perspectives in a series of fireside discussions of classical and contemporary texts and films. Our interdisciplinary approach in this seminar will include appeals to philosophy, psychology, literature, drama, and science. Prerequisites: Seniors, with at least two courses in Philosophy and/or Religion. Enrollment limit: twelve students (This is a strict limit. If it reaches 12, I will create a waiting list)
